ASD Researchers at UNC
Assistant Professor, Department of Cell Biology and Physiology/UNC School of Medicine
Damaris Lorenzo, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cell Biology and Physiology. The Lorenzo lab uses mouse genetics, live-cell imaging, and a wide range of molecular biology and biochemical approaches to understand the roles of cytoskeletal proteins in cellular homeostasis and in human disease. The lab is particularly interested in decoding the contribution of the submembrane cytoskeleton to neuronal development and brain connectivity, and its involvement in neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative diseases.
